Symptoms of Progeria
- Growth failure during the first year of life
- Narrow, shrunken or wrinkled face- This can vary depending how severe the case of the disease is. You may find some people with extremely small faces and some looking only slightly shrunken.
- Large head for size of face
- Baldness
- Loss of eyebrows and eyelashes
- Short stature- People with progeria have a very small and a feeble bone structure. Their bodies are normally very weak and they cannot do much without becoming overly tired.
- Open soft spot
- Small jaw
- Dry, scaly, thin skin
- Limited range of motion- Limited range of motion is a reduction in the normal distance and direction through which a joint can move.
- Teeth - delayed or absent formation Complications

SIgns and Tests
A doctor may run certain tests in order to diagnose the disease. These tests may show the following.
- Insulin resistance
- Skin changes when the connective tissue becomes tough and hardened
